Recommended acquisition of EMAP PLC by Apax Europe VII

The boards of Emap plc and Eden Bidco Limited, a company controlled by Guardian Media Group and funds advised by Apax Partners, have reached an agreement on the terms of a recommended cash offer for the entire share capital of Emap. Emap is a multiplatform media group listed on the London Stock Exchange, with a portfolio of over 200 brands, including 50 lifestyle and consumer magazines.
