John Chapman is a lawyer and Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) specializing in representing shareholder interests in connection with the operation and management of investment funds and ancillary assets. His experience includes investment funds domiciled in numerous jurisdictions and investing in various asset classes, including debt, equity, private equity and property, in both developed and emerging markets. Mr. Chapman has served as the chairman, executive director, or non-executive director of many publicly traded companies, including ACP Capital Limited and ACP Mezzanine Limited (AIM quoted investment companies investing in European small and mid-cap debt, equity and structured products), the Romania Investment Fund (which invested in Romanian public and private equity), and the Central Asia Regional Growth Fund Plc. (which invested primarily in private equity in the former Soviet Central Asian Republics). Earlier in his career, Mr. Chapman practiced commercial litigation with a large law firm in New York City, served as a federal prosecutor with the United States Department of Justice and also was a Senior Advisor to the United States Treasury Department for the training of local law enforcement bodies in Eastern Europe.
